The Fall ADHD Toolbox
What is the Fall ADHD Toolbox Weekend?
It's a dedicated time (over a Fall weekend) for high-school teens with ADHD ages 14-17 to participate in structured, engaging activities that teach them practical strategies to cope with ADHD. This weekend will include:
- Mindfulness exercises to help with present moment awareness
- Organizational and time management skill building
- Executive functioning strategies to help take steps towards goals and make starting tasks less overwhelming
- Creative learning through games & exercises
All of these are taught by Katie Piura LCSW, teen therapist with over 10 years of experience working with teens and ADHD expertise. Known for her engaging, relatable approach, she creates a space where youth feel safe, understood, and excited to participate
This is for you if:
You wish you could just try harder, sit still, or finally focus — but no matter how much you want to, it feels like your brain’s running really fast? You’re not alone. And guess what? You don’t have to have it all together to come to the group. This weekend isn’t about forcing focus or pretending to be someone you’re not. It’s about discovering what actually works for your mind — and finding a space where you can feel seen, heard and supported.
You’ll get the space, support, and guidance to:
See how ADHD shows up in your life
Learn effective coping tools
Feel seen, heard and supported accompanied by a group who understands
Build your own “coping skills toolkit” to use long after the weekend
How ADHD Shows Up
ADHD doesn’t look the same for everyone. You might:
Feel like time slips away, always running late
Lose track of what you're doing midway through
Have a room or backpack that’s hard to organize
Get restless, interrupt, or act impulsively
Want help starting stuff, planning, or following through
This weekend tackles all those challenges — and more.
